Known for hotels, restaurants, gift shops, and scenic views of the bay, Kent Island has deep roots in Maryland history. Founded in 1631, Kent Fort is the third oldest English settlement in the country, after Jamestown and Plymouth. Long before 1952 (the Chesapeake Bay Bridge opening), this area served as a hub for ferry service and steamboat transportation services between Kent Island’s Love Point and the Western Shore.

Stevensville, where Love Point Wellness is located, features one of the charming historic districts that the island is known for.
